Job Description:
URS Corporation is looking for a Business Manager to join their Operations and Maintenance team in the southwestern US. This facility is a state of the art 24/7 computer data center with over 15 individual buildings. The facility includes a large power supply system with a capacity in excess of 100 MVA, stand-by/emergency generation system with a capacity in excess of 80 MVA, a facility wide chilled water system in excess of 15 M Tons, multiple large UPS systems in excess of 10 MVA capacity each. This individual will have direct responsibility and oversight for day to day operations, maintenance and support activities. This position will report to the Operations Manager and serve as the overall financial leader for the entire team. The Program consists of multi-year full service Operations and Maintenance contract. The engineering manager will have a staff consisting of electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, CADD technicians, and preventative maintenance specialist as direct reports. Job Duties: ? Coordinates the submittal of contract deliverables ? Prepare and submit timely, accurate financial statements and budget reports ? Serve as Small Business Representative, responsible for outreach efforts, ensure compliance, and prepare required subcontracting performance reports ? Manage project business functions to include accounting, payroll, human resources (HR), purchasing, property, and security ? Interface with URS Corporate service center functions (i.e., accounting, payroll, HR, property, procurement, and security) ? Functions as the Subcontracts Manager ? Conduct financial reviews with the Government, as needed ? Set up document control process and maintain project records and permits ? Provides an effective contract and procurement management program, which ensures compliance with requirements and directs procurement activities, focusing on administration of prime contracts, subcontracts and procurement ? Conduct procurement training for technical and contract staff; responsible for drafting and updating procurement policies and procedures
