Thanks to the impending launch of Impact Wrestling?s (previously TNA ?Total Non-Stop Action? Wrestling) new Fantasy game, which our sources tell us is scheduled to launch sometime early Wednesday (June 1, 2011) at ImpactWrestlingFantasy.com (link to go live on Wednesday), wrestling fans and Fantasy Sports enthusiasts starved for another outlet to compete in, will have a number one venue for Fantasy Wrestling.

Sources close to TheXLog.comrecently tipped us off to this extremely innovative development in Professional Wrestling, as Fantasy Brand Marketing, LLC starts to make waves as a major player in the Fantasy space, by partnering with Impact Wrestling to bring Fantasy Sports and entertainment to a new level.

TNA (Total Non-Stop Action) Wrestling recently re-branded and re-positioned their promotion as Impact Wrestling. Their Thursday night show on Spike TV (9 ET/8 CT) averages more than 2 million viewers, and features a roster with names such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Sting, Rob Van Dam, A.J. Styles, Mr. Anderson and more. In addition to Impact Wrestling on Spike, TNA has a monthly Pay-Per-View event, as well as several live events in various cities throughout the world. While they rival WWE domestically, they actually beat WWE ratings-wise in several international hotspots.

Unlike any previous attempts at Fantasy wrestling games, ImpactWrestlingFantasy.com features a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind scoring system that tracks and awards points for happenings in each Impact show and Pay-Per-view Event, and addresses the issue of events that are taped in front of a live studio audience prior to the broadcast. It also rivals most traditional Fantasy Sports engines, with features like live online drafts, a full Commissioner feature with the ability to customize league scoring, as well as real-time live scoring and play-by-play reports, and of course, a real time trash talk/trade feature to maximize the fun for Fantasy owners.

Sources indicated that prior to the Inaugural Season of Impact Wrestling Fantasy, a one-month free trial period will begin with the Pay-Per-View event Slammiversary on June 12, allowing fans to build their leagues, hold their live drafts and set their rosters starting on June 1.

All of the game?s features will be offered free of charge, until the free trial period culminates with the airing of Impact on Thursday, July 7 on Spike. The official Inaugural Season of the Impact Wrestling Fantasy Game will kick off on July 10 with the Pay-Per-View event Destination X. At that point, the three-month Fantasy season format will take shape, and a free version of the game will remain, along with the ability to upgrade to premium features. Season 1 will culminate on Thursday, October 13 with the airing of Impact. Season 2 of Impact Wrestling Fantasy will kick off at Bound for Glory on October 16, and the quarterly Fantasy season cycle will repeat itself.

Our sources also tell us that with regards to Impact Wrestling?s taping schedule, Fantasy rosters will lock prior to each Impact taping, assuring no unfair advantage for anyone who attends a live taping, or reads about the results.
